Our Mission
Bozeman ArtLab was created in 2025 by Susan Cornish to provide artists with a dedicated space where they can pursue their creative passions without compromise. We believe that every artist deserves a studio tailored to their unique needs and vision.
From welders to painters, sculptors to craftspeople, we welcome all forms of artistic expression. Our facility is more than just studio space—it's a community where artists can connect, collaborate, and inspire one another while maintaining the privacy and independence they need to create.
What Makes Us Different
Truly Customizable
Unlike traditional studio rentals, we work with each artist to customize their space from the ground up. Most spaces start as a simple plot of floorspace, and can be customized with walls, windows or doors. Need specialized ventilation? Want a specific lighting setup? We can help make it happen. Your studio should work for you, not against you.
All Media Welcome
We genuinely mean it when we say all* creative passions are allowed. From messy metal fabrication to delicate watercolors, noisy woodworking to quiet fiber arts—if it's creative, it belongs here.
* An extremely small number of artistic pursuits may not be allowed by insurance. Drop us a line and we'll let you know for sure.
Community-Driven
Our attached classroom space allows any artist in the community to teach classes and share their expertise. It's a great way to give back, earn extra income, and strengthen the community.
Your Space, Your Way
With 24/7 access and your own exclusive space, you have complete control over your workspace and schedule. Work at 3 AM if inspiration strikes. Build walls and even install a door. It's your studio, on your terms.
The Space
Located near the intersection of Huffine and Love Lane, ArtLab is housed in a spacious facility designed to support creative work of all kinds. We're also right across the hall from Bozeman Makerspace!
Our facility features private and semi-private studio units of customizable sizes and design, shared common areas for collaboration, a dedicated classroom for workshops and events, and all the infrastructure artists need to work safely and comfortably.
